Background to RoC
RoC was founded in 1957, by a French pharmacist named Jean-Charles Lissarrague, and a group of dermatologists. Since then the RoC product range has established itself as one of the most reputable and effective skin care brands in the world. RoC products have been the focus of alot of research and testing by dermatologists in recent years. Their products enter the consumer market after many clinical trials and consumer tests and its RoCs’ commitment to focusing as much on the skin’s health as to ways to improve its appearance that have earned it so much respect in the skin care arena. RoC products have a loyal following of consumers who testify in trials that the products really do seem to make the skin feel healthier as well as affecting the way the skin looks and feels.
In 1995 for example, RoC developed RETINOL ACTIF PUR, a stabilized form of Vitamin A that pioneered the treatment of wrinkles by looking at ways of preventing wrinkles rather than just reducing their effect by altering the appearance of the skin. The RoC products generally consist of a compound mixture of minerals, vitamins and RoC Retinol. The RoC RETINOL CORREXION product contains a formula of RoC Retinol and a mineral complex which was developed to target deep wrinkles. RoC RETINOL CORREXION Deep Wrinkle Night Cream, for example, is reputed to be able to create noticeably firmer looking skin after a 4 week course, with a ntoiceable affect on fine wrinkles. After 12 weeks the product is reputed to have a noticeable affect on even deep wrinkles. Not surprisinlgy it has become one of the most popular products for targeting wrinkles. RoC claim that their RETINOL CORREXION moisturizer is the only one on the market to have truly been clinically proven to put back the age of your skin in look and feel.

MULTI CORREXION™ Eye Treatment
This is basically the Night Treatment product but with a gentler effect for the delicate skin of the eye area. The majority of women and men that tested this product reported a reduction in puffiness and dark circles around the eyes and a noticeable effect on wrinkles
MULTI CORREXION™ Exfoliating Cleanser
A multi-vitamin formula of Vitamins C and E and smoothing micro-spheres that aim to gently remove oil, dead skin and dirt and leave the skin feeling revitalized and refreshed
Anti-Wrinkle
RoC have 2 main product lines aimed at targeting wrinkles: RETINOL CORREXION and RETINOL ACTIF PUR. Why 2 products? Well, RoC doesnt seem to offer an explanation but we think they are basically aimed at different age groups. The RETINOL CORREXION day and night creams are basically the RoC flagship products for fighting wrinkles and are generally marketed as their heavyweight solution at taregting even deep wrinkles so would be more popular perhaps with women and men in their 30s upwards. The RETINOL ACTIF PUR product appears to be marketed as a subtler product for wrinkles and fine lines (no mention of “deep wrinkles” in the marketing), so this product would perhaps be more suited to 20- somethings and women in their early 30s.
The RETINOL CORREXION formula contains a combination of RoC Retinol and a complex of minerals – magnesium, zinc, and copper that aim to to improve the appearance of even deep wrinkles. The Deep Wrinkle Night Cream is formulated to work through the night, firstly firming the upper layers of your skin to reduce fine lines and then working deeper to impact on deep wrinkles. ACTIF PUR combines Retinol with glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid used by dermatologists to exfoliate the skin.
Botyh products have a day cream with an SPF factor 15 to protect from UVA
